Basting Spoons

A basting spoon is an important cooking utensil when roasting meat in the oven as well as for ladling and serving from shallow containers. Basting spoons have long handles to protect chefs from oven heat and large shallow bowls. Some basting spoon bowls are solid to liquid baste while others have perforated bowls for sifting larger pieces meat and veggies out of sauces and juices.
