"We have worked with Mission from day one…with Mission we do supplies, we do all of our equipment with Mission. They have a phenomenal team that comes out. They are really good with their knowledge and their background and their service levels are incomparable."
-Paul Weir, Chef/Owner Longhorn Café

Paul Weir, Chef/Owner of Longhorn Café, has been in the hospitality business since graduating college. He and his business partner David Wynn purchased Longhorn Café in 1995. It started with just one location and they have now expanded to 9 locations with a 10th on the way.

Longhorn Café is known for their burgers! When Paul and David bought Longhorn Café, they had 8 burgers on the menu. They have now expanded the menu to 15 burgers. They want to accommodate the whole family and have added various menu items that can appeal to everyone. From award-winning chicken fried steak to delicious salads to a phenomenal grilled chicken sandwich. If you are new to Longhorn Café, try Paul's favorite – a double meat chili cheeseburger with no mayo, no tomato, and no lettuce.

Not only is food a passion in his work life but also his personal life. Paul enjoyed cooking with his mom when he was just 5 years and that got him interested to life in the kitchen. "Once you are hooked by this business you are in it for life." said Paul. To further his cooking skills, Paul recently graduated from the Culinary Institute of America with an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. He says he loves the challenge of cooking. His specialty is chicken fricassee. And for dessert? Paul makes a darn good walnut tart. We asked Paul if he was going to start adding new gourmet menu items to the Longhorn Café menu. He said no but maybe one day he'll surprise us with a pop-up restaurant so we can try his chicken fricassee!

Mission Restaurant Supply and Longhorn Café have been partners since the beginning. Our partnership has even expanded beyond equipment, kitchen supplies, and leasing ice machines. The son of our V.P. of Leasing, Brenda Weil, worked for Longhorn Café as an onion ring aficionado while he was in high school!
