Position Summary: The Sales Representative is responsible for managing a customer book of business within an assigned geographic region and business segment. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, engaging with both external customers and cross-functional teams within the Company. The Sales Representative is the primary liaison to potential and existing customers and is expected to always represent the Company in a professional and ethical manner and reflect Mission’s Core Values (Family, Genuine, Resourceful and Driven).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prospect new customers and generate sales opportunities; proactively manage and track sales pipeline within the Company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Complete site surveys and leveraging manufacturer and product knowledge, makes product recommendations to meet a customer’s needs
- Generate pricing quotations for customers, ensuring accurate product specifications, customer deposit collection and complete documentation prior to submission to the Company’s Order Processing team
- Actively manage each customer project sold, ensuring coordination between order processing, logistics, branch leadership and installation; this includes proactive management of realistic dates used by the company to process the order
- Achieve assigned sales and gross margin targets, maximizing sales of units from preferred vendors and stock inventory
- Maintain good relationships with the food service equipment vendor/vendor representative community, staying current on product offerings and features
- Ensure timely collection of all assigned customer accounts
- Participate in-person at branch and/or division level trainings and meetings
- In-Person on call Sales Rep; rotating schedule
- Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Valid Texas Driver License and clean driving record; reliable vehicle
- Able to travel frequently as required of the job
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-directed; this role requires proactive identification of customer prospects and management of time to close deals
- Process-oriented thinker; this role requires working across multiple departments and effectively managing hand-offs between teams
- Excellent time management skills; experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be available for the In-Person on call Sales Rep; rotating schedule
- Must be able to participate in-person at branch and/or division level trainings and meetings
- Must be comfortable working in high-stress environments
- Ability to stand, maneuver or walk for long periods of time on uneven grounds or pavement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Autoquotes and NetSuite
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Bachelor’s degree
- Food service industry experience
- 1-3 years of sales experience
