At Mission, our story has always started and stayed with family. Since 1988, we’ve been helping businesses bring their kitchens to life, treating every project with the same care we’d give our own. For us, it’s never just about layouts or equipment; it’s about creating spaces where teams thrive and success is shared.
Rooted in Family, Driven by Mission
In the late ’80s, the Lewis family purchased a small ice company in San Antonio called Mission Party Ice. What started as a humble operation quickly became something bigger: a vision to support the people behind Texas’ vibrant food culture.
Over time, that vision grew into Mission Restaurant Supply, a full-service foodservice partner helping operators create kitchens where teams thrive and guests feel at home. From our warehouse team to our installers and designers, every detail reflects the same care and pride that’s been there from the start.
Giving Back, Together
At Mission, community isn’t just where we work, it’s who we are. From supporting our customers and employees to caring for the neighborhoods we serve, giving back has always been part of our foundation. We believe strong relationships extend beyond business, and we do our best to show up where we can make a real difference.
In 2015, that commitment came to life when our CEO, Jack Lewis, chaired the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk in San Antonio. Together with our team, we raised over $251,000, setting a local record for the highest fundraising corporate team in the event’s history. It was a powerful reminder that when we come together as a family, we can help create lasting impact.
A Legacy Carried Forward
Today, Mission is still family-operated, with A.J. Lewis leading the way as CEO. For us, leadership has never been about titles; it’s about showing up, listening, and working alongside our clients every step of the way.
A.J. grew up around this business, watching the same values his parents built Mission on come to life: honesty, accountability, and relationships first. Under his leadership, those roots are stronger than ever, shaping the way we design, fabricate, and deliver solutions that last.
Kitchens That Tell Stories
Behind every project we take on, there’s a story.
Like the regional fast-casual group expanding across Texas. They needed kitchens that worked harder layouts optimized for multiple makelines, off-premise pickup windows, and energy efficiency. Tight deadlines, high stakes.
Because we do everything under one roof from design and fabrication to delivery and installation our team was there from start to finish. The result wasn’t just a functional kitchen; it was a space built for their team to move faster, serve smarter, and grow without limits.
Family Is How We Work
After all these years, we’re still family-operated and locally rooted. Still walking job sites. Still answering calls ourselves. Still keeping promises. That’s what sets us apart because when we say we’ve got your back, we mean it.
Every stainless steel table we weld, every custom line we fabricate, every kitchen we help open it’s all driven by one goal: helping people like you succeed. Because when our clients win, we celebrate like family.
Your Vision, Our Promise
Whether you’re opening your first location, remodeling an iconic space, or scaling to meet new demand, we’re here to make the process smoother, smarter, and more personal.
This isn’t just business for us, it’s our family’s name on the line. And that’s something we’ll never take lightly.Let’s build something that lasts. Start Your Project.
